Track What You Spend, Even Outside Google and Meta
Until now, it was hard to track the money you spend on influencer campaigns, partnerships, or one-time promotions. You either had to guess or keep everything in spreadsheets. MyDataNinja has solved this with a new feature: Custom URL Costs.
Now, you can add a cost to any custom tracking link you create. This means you can see how much you’re spending on a campaign, even when it’s not running on an ad platform, and match that spend with actual results like clicks, sales, and revenue.
What Are Custom URL Costs?
Custom URL Costs let you attach a manual cost to your Custom URLs inside MyDataNinja. It’s made for tracking expenses that happen outside of platforms like Google, Meta, or TikTok.
For example:
- You pay an influencer $300 to post your link
- You create a Custom URL for them in MyDataNinja
- You assign a $300 cost to that link
- Now you can track clicks, sales, and compare them with the money you spent
Simple, right?
How to Add a Custom URL Cost
- Go to the Custom URLs section in your dashboard
- Find the URL you want to add a cost to
- Click the action button on the right and select “Add cost.”
- Enter the amount you paid for that campaign or collaboration
- Save it, your cost will now show in your reports

You can also edit or update the cost at any time, so you stay flexible.

Why This Feature Matters
Before this feature, there was no easy way to include outside costs in your performance tracking. Now, with Custom URL Costs, you can:
- Track the actual cost of influencer or affiliate campaigns
- Compare paid traffic vs unpaid or semi-paid efforts
- See the true return on investment (ROI) for everything you do
- Keep all your marketing data in one place, including manual spending
All this information is sent straight to your reporting page, so you don’t have to calculate anything by hand.
What You’ll See After Adding a Cost
Once you assign a cost to your Custom URL, it will appear in the URL list along with:
- The tracking and shortened URLs
- The cost you assigned
- The performance data (clicks, sales, leads, revenue)
- Full details inside the reporting page
You’ll get a much clearer view of your marketing efforts, even when they’re not linked to a regular ad campaign.
